Pandora describes The Beeper Queen

so IFC introduced me to Pandora the other day. it is brilliant and i love that iphone has a program for it too. the only problem is that when i ask it “why did you play this song?” invariably, for whatever genre, it says “romantic stylings”, “a feeling of melancholy” . . . . i think this pretty much captures what it means to be The Beeper Queen . . i am regressing back to being 16 again and acting all weird and sullen and in love with being sad and misunderstood.

in response i have swapped out my bodice rippers and am reading God is Not Great by Christopher Hitchens in an attempt to stop myself from being all silly, and female and from falling in love all over the place. . .
