Breakin’ at Harlem Bar

I love this wordpress application I am at the gym AND blogging!

Last night Jordan, the Frenchwoman and I went to Harlem bar for some dinner. Everything was fantastic. I broke my vegetarianism for the night and got catfish fingers, mac and cheese, sweet plantains and collards. To top it off I had a ‘yellow cab’ a drink with OJ, champagne and grand marnier. So we were having a great time, eating and gabbing and then I saw it… They were projecting Breakin’ 2 Electric Boogaloo on the wall… I freaked out and the waitress was not impressed that I knew what it was and frowned when I showed her my interpretation of ‘popping’. I found the Michael Chambers performance in Israel in 1984 video . . . keep an eye out at 3:13 for the old man clearly sleeping in the front row during the “whacking” demonstration

oh and btw – i SO have a crush on the announcer – Israeli-riffic, grrrrrrrrr (i said that grrr in the same way as Valerie Cherish)
